FIELD: medicine, orthopedics, traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating the pathology of tridactylous wrist due to carrying out microsurgical autotransplantation of a two-component transplant consisting of the second toe and the third metatarsal bone with a mutual vascular pedicle. Moreover, the third metatarsal bone should be placed into position of the nonexistent metacarpal bone, and due to a toe it is possible to reconstruct one more finger of the wrist. The innovation enables to form a tetradactylous wrist along with reconstruction of the nonexistent metacarpal bone.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of reconstruction.
