SUBSTANCE: head contains a basis with radial notch, replaceable centring bushing, faceplate, mounted on the basis with the possibility of rotation through the drive installed on basis, made of two coaxially installed next to each other gear wheels with radial notches and with ring gear on their generatrix, places on the basis welding torch with electrode and fitting for shielding gas supply, filler metal feed and head fixation mechanism on welded pipeline. In this case, the head is provided with a carriage mounted on the faceplate with the possibility of adjusting movement, and the rotational drive of the faceplate is made removable.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to improve the quality of joint weld due to a more accurate adjustment of the head to the welded abut and to avoid deformation of the pipeline when the head is fixed to it.
