FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to test for the purpose of approval the means of measurement type, calibration and inline inspection tools check on pipeline testing ground. The declared metrological ground includes a test stand of a pipeline ground consisting of several circular loops of different diameters simulating sections of the main pipeline, and a hardware-software complex for information processing. The test stand includes removable pipe elements, which are measures of defect models. Removable pipe elements consist of sections that are connected by welds that are the markers of the beginning and end of each section. The plot is the measurement area and artificial defects are made on it, and removable pipe elements are made with the ability to determine the type of inline inspection tool like measuring tool, and hardware-software complex for information processing is made with the possibility of type approval of inline inspection tool as measuring tool and includes unit for checking and testing inline inspection tools and unit for calibration of inline inspection tools.

EFFECT: extending the functionality of a pipeline test ground due to ensuring the conditions for carrying out metrological works for testing in order to approve the type of instruments for measuring, calibrating and checking inline inspection tools as measuring tools for pipeline test ground.
