FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for in-pipe diagnostics of oil pipelines and oil product pipelines. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that from the tendon for in-pipe inspection instruments contains at least two coils having the same outer diameter and different thickness of the walls. Each of the coils is coated with at least one artificial defect of one type, the geometrical dimensions of which are made with accuracy sufficient to ensure traceability to the state primary standard of the unit of length. Type of artificial defect is selected from a set of types of artificial defects of the outer surface, artificial defects of the inner surface, intra-wall artificial defects and artificial defects of the coil wall geometry. Each of the coils has the same number of artificial defects of the same types.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy and reliability of measurement results performed by in-line inspection instrument during in-line diagnostics.
