SUBSTANCE: security threads or strips comprise: a) an optically variable layer; b) a layer of permanent colour having a colour which coincides with the colour perception of the optically variable layer at the viewing angle; c) a holographic metal layer; and d) a transparent substrate, wherein the optically variable layer, the layer of permanent colour and the holographic metal layer are at least partially co-visible on at least one side of the security thread or strip.
EFFECT: increasing degree of product protection against counterfeiting and illegal reproduction.
