FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method for determination of the dielectric material level the primary and then the secondary level capacity transmitters and their reference gauges are affected by the sinusoidal voltage at specified frequencies. Then the currents are measured using the secondary dry level transmitter and the reference gauge at each specified frequency. The measurement results are recorded. The electric capacity value of the secondary dry level capacity transmitter is defined and recorded. The value of electric capacity increment is defined and recorded, when the secondary level capacity transmitter is fully submerged into the dielectric material. Periodically and consistently they measure and record the current through the secondary level capacity transmitter, filled with the dielectric material, and the standard for each of the specified frequencies. They periodically determine and record the current values of electric capacity of the secondary level capacity transmitter, filled with the dielectric material. They determine the level expressed as a difference between the current value of electric capacity of the filled secondary level capacity transmitter and the electric capacity of the secondary dry level capacity transmitter, related to the value of the electric capacity increment of the secondary level capacity transmitter, submerged in the dielectric material. Then, in each n-channel, the values of the levels of the dielectric material are determined by their measurement using the primary and secondary level capacity transmitters. The priority value of the level is the value determined through the primary level capacity transmitter. The values of the levels, measured by the primary and secondary level capacity transmitters in each channel, are compared with each other. If the obtained result exceeds the permissible value, the possible reasons of the exceeding are analyzed. Then, the values of the current, electric capacity and level, measured by the primary capacity transmitter in each n-channel, are compared with the respectively specified ranges of allowed values. If the currents, electric capacity and level, measured in any of the n-channels, overrun the range of allowed values, the values of the currents, electric capacity and level, measured in the same channel by the secondary level capacity transmitter, are compared with the respectively specified ranges of allowed values. The dielectric material level is determined based on the values of the levels, measured in each n-channel.
EFFECT: improving the reliability and accuracy of determining the level of the dielectric material through the use of the secondary level capacity transmitter, excluding the influence of the parasite electric capacity by the length of communication lines, protection from failure processes in computer devices and failures of the electronic component base in the measuring channel.
