SUBSTANCE: method of polymerizing aromatic multifunctional carbodiimide is that aromatic multifunctional carbodiimide containing polymerized residues of aromatic multifunctional isocyanate and aliphatic polyol, a carbodiimide group, a urethane group containing aliphatic substituents are subjected to the interaction with the potassium acetate. The reaction is carried out at a temperature in the range of 15 to 90°C. The aromatic multifunctional carbodiimide is a carbodiimide prepolymer which contains carbodiimide in an amount of 2 to 5 wt %, and contains 2 aromatic substituents attached to each carbodiimide group. The curing composition of resin includes a carbodiimide prepolymer and potassium acetate.
EFFECT: invention allows to cure aromatic carbodiimides at low temperatures to produce coatings.
