FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method of timely optimal control of well drilling process realizes an adaptation of determined model of fractional-power type with three control parameters to conditions at a bottom by changing its coefficients, calculation of optimal loads on bit, bit rotation rate, drilling mud consumption and well drilling at optimal modes, the achievement of which is determined by the minimum vibration frequency of the drill string. The method envisages multiple coefficients updating for power law model by results of well measurements of drilling rate, calculation of optimal parameters of control against the criterion of maximum mechanical speed, performance of drilling at calculated parameters with optimum control against minimum vibration of the drill pipe.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of optimal control of drilling mode and increased mechanical rate of well drilling due to optimisation of mathematical model control with three adjustable parameters and monitoring the achievement of the optimum minimum vibration of the drill string.
