SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system, a device and a method for predicting rock drillability based on electromagnetic radiation measurement (EM) radiation data during drilling operations. Method includes acquiring measurements of electromagnetic (EM) radiation emitted due to destruction of formation materials by a drilling assembly during a drilling operation, wherein the EM radiation measurement data are obtained from a low-frequency sensor, designed to measure signals below about 300 kHz, a mid-range sensor, designed for measuring signals from about 300 kHz to 3 MHz, and a high-frequency sensor, designed for measuring signals above about 3 MHz, wherein each sensor is placed on the drilling assembly and the measured signals are associated with the cracking and crushing of rocks during drilling, selecting input parameters, including drilling assembly parameters, operational parameters and EM radiation measurement data at low middle and high frequencies; supplying the input parameters to a mathematical drillability model and generating a rock drillability parameter using the drillability model and the input parameters, the rock drillability parameter providing an indication of drilling performance.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of drilling.
