SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection and can be used to isolate the surfaces of tailing dumps consisting of toxic waste to restore disturbed lands. Method includes carrying out in the first year of the technical stage of reclamation by creating an insulating drainage layer, applying an artificial substrate, and in the second year after the shrinkage of the artificially created soil, the biological stage of reclamation is carried out, the artificial substrate is poured and seeded with grass mixtures of perennial grasses. At the technical stage, a sandy-gravel interlayer is formed, then a geosynthetic material is laid, an artificially created substrate made of fertile soil is applied, including sapropel, activated sludge and the biological stage of reclamation is carried out by sowing seeds of grass mixtures of perennial grasses and natural tree mulch is introduced by hydroseeding.

EFFECT: method of reclamation of tailing dumps helps to minimize the resource costs of the work and the high efficiency of this method, which is confirmed by the results of field and laboratory studies.
