FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: pump unit for the lumbar region contains a seat back, an air reservoir, a lever, a valve body with an inlet and a switching device. The seat back includes a plurality of air chambers located thereon to form a lumbar support. The air reservoir has an inlet for receiving ambient air and an outlet for venting air, as well as an air cylinder. The lever is pivotable about an axis and connected to an air reservoir for manually compressing the air reservoir. The switching device includes a handle pivotable about an axis and connected to the valve body for selectively connecting the valve body inlet with one selected outlet for inflating the respective air chamber.
EFFECT: increasing the comfort level for the waist of the passenger and reduce the likelihood of back pain.
