FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: system of overlaying AC to DC power supplying the group of batteries for electrowinning or electrorefining copper and other products is characterized by: (a) switching on an inductor connected between the terminals of two successive intermediate batteries from a group of batteries, the functions of the inductor being to act as a filter for AC and a conductor for DC; (b) switching on a capacitor connected in parallel to the DC source, the capacitor functions being to act as a conductor for the alternating current and a DC filter; and (c) including an alternating current source connected to the inductor terminals installed at the intermediate point of the battery group.
EFFECT: providing the process of applying an alternating current to direct current for electrowinning and electrorefining copper in industrial battery processes.
