METHOD FOR MEADOWS ENVIRONMENTAL STATE ESTIMATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/00

Abstract RU 2643580 C2

FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: to assess the environmental state of meadows by the biochemical indicators of vegetation, the content of pigments in the cell fluid of chicken millet plants, as well as the cell fluid pH are determined. The environmental state of meadows is assessed by comparing the biological characteristics of chicken millet in contaminated and environmentally friendly areas. The environmental state of meadow is considered favourable if the compliance of the pigment content in the cellular fluid of chicken millet is 91-100% at pH of 5.2-5.7; relatively environmentally friendly - at 81-90% at pH of 4.8-5.1 and at increased environmental risk with the content of the above pigments <80% at pH <4.7.

EFFECT: increased accuracy and informativeness of assessment of the ecological state of meadows.
