SUBSTANCE: head-mounted display device of the transmissive type comprises: an image display unit including an image light generation unit for generating light of the image based on the image data and light emission of the image; an image capture unit for capturing an image of the external situation; a specific direction setting unit for distinguishing a particular target included in the captured image and setting a specific direction based on a specific target; a distance indication unit for indicating the distance between the image display unit and the specific target; and a control unit for setting the location of the light generation region of the image so that the light producing region of the image and the specific direction are aligned after setting a specific direction and for setting the image light based on the indicated distance.

EFFECT: alignment implementation is performed to fix the relative position between the specific direction and the displayed image when the direction of view of the user changes.
