FIELD: imaging technology.
SUBSTANCE: display device mounted on the head contains two modules, each module containing a camera module, a display screen and a processing module. The camera module contains the first and second cameras, while the field of view of the first camera is larger than the field of view of the second camera. Each module is designed with the possibility of implementing an image processing method containing the steps at which: the first image having the first resolution is obtained using the first camera, and the second image having the second resolution is obtained using the second camera, and the first resolution is less than the second resolution; a fourth image is generated using the processing module based on the first and second images, and the fourth image is a real image of the scene and contains an image with the first resolution and an image with the second resolution; a fifth image is generated using the processing module based on the fourth image and the third image containing a virtual object, and the fifth image contains a real image of the scene and a virtual object; and the fifth image is displayed on the module display screen.
EFFECT: improvement in resolution while reducing the amount of data and the display delay.
