BREATHING APPARATUS TESTING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A62B27/00

Abstract RU 2643670 C1

FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for breathing apparatus testing contains the respiration simulator 1, the carbon dioxide and nitrogen supply unit 2, the oxygen consumption simulating unit 3 and the control unit 4. The respiration simulator 1 contains the circulation contour, formed by the self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) 5, the flow stimulator (breathing simulator) 6, the GDM flow heater with the water evaporator (not shown) 7, the gas analyzer - the oxygen meter at inspiration 8, the flow meter 9 and the controlled valve 10, connected pneumatically in series with the input of the SCBA 5. The second half of the circulation contour is formed by the installed at the outlet SCBA 5, controlled by the valve 11, the gas analyzer - the oxygen meter at exhalation 12, the fridge 13 and check valve 14, connected to the flow stimulator (breathing simulator) 6. The carbon dioxide and nitrogen supply unit 2 comprises the control valve 15, the carbon dioxide flow meter 16, the check valve 17, the control valve 18 and the nitrogen flow meter 19. The carbon dioxide and nitrogen supply unit 2 through the check valve 17 is connected to the flow stimulator 6 through the check valve 17. The oxygen consumption simulation unit 3 includes the GDM discharge pump 20, the controlled valve 21, the controlled valve 22, the controlled valve 23, the GDM flow meter 24, and the controlled valve 25, connected to the atmosphere. The oxygen consumption simulating unit 3 is connected to the flow stimulator 6 input through the controlled valve 21.

EFFECT: creation of the device, that provides the ability to simulate the device operation at various psycho-physiological person states by dropping the part of the breathing mixtures into the environment, reproduction of human respiratory dynamics and opportunities of infinitely variable depth of breathing during the operation, provision the ability to reproduce the various loads at tests performing.
