SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a pre-comminuting device for a ball mill, in particular to a agitator ball mill. Ball mill, primarily agitator ball mill (1), contains a pre-comminuting device. Pre-comminuting device (7) is located between grinding inlet (4) and grinding space (2R). Device comprises a first stationary grinding means (9, 20) and a second rotating grinding means (8, 30). Between the grinding means, grinding gap (S) is formed. First grinding means is a grinding ring and is located in grinding chamber (2). First grinding means has an internal girth gear. Second grinding means (30) comprises first (34) and second (35) partial areas. Second partial area has guide structures for directing the grind material to the first partial area. At least, first area of the second grinding means comprises a first outer girth gear. First and second grinding means are arranged in such a way that the outer girth gear of the first partial area (34) of the second grinding means (30), when forming grinding gap (S), largely is coupled with the inner girth gear of the first grinding means (20).

EFFECT: improved preliminary crushing of the solid components of the ground material is provided.
