SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Rail car disc brake pad comprises a base plate and multiple friction elements, each of which is fixed to a corresponding support plate. Disc brake pad comprises only one resilient plate disposed between the main plate and all the support plates and, in turn, comprising a central rib attached to the base plate, and multiple resilient projections protruding from the central rib and separated from the base plate. Each of the support plates is attached to a corresponding resilient projection.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of braking, noise reduction during operation and simplification of production are achieved.
