SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport machine building. Railway vehicle disk brake pad comprises a base plate, a number of supporting plates mounted on base plate, and a number of friction elements attached to the support plates. Base plate comprises a number of perforated elongated sections, each of which comprises a protrusion on which the support plate rests to form a gap between the base plate and the support plate. Each protrusion has a central hole engaging a corresponding rivet to attach the support plate to the base plate.
EFFECT: improved cooling of the friction element of the brake pad.
