SUBSTANCE: nozzle (10) for a floor cleaner (100) is provided, comprising a nozzle body (28), a brush (12) rotating around the brush axis (14), which is partially surrounded by the nozzle body (28), protrudes from the lower side (30) of the nozzle body (28) and is equipped with brush elements (16) for picking up particles (22, 24) of dirt and/or liquid from the surface (20) to be cleaned during brush (12) rotation. The nozzle comprises a protective assembly located within the nozzle body (28) and comprising a plurality of spaced ribs (34) that extend at least partially through the brush (12). A suction channel (42) is formed between the rear end (44) of the ribs (34) and the opposite member (46) of the inner wall of the nozzle body (28), the rear end (44) of the ribs (34) faces away from the brush axis (14), and the inner wall member (46) faces the rear end (44) of the ribs (34) and is spaced from the rear end (44). The brush elements (16), when rotated, extend at least partially into the suction channel (42).
