FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to rupture contacts and can be used in the manufacture of low-voltage switching equipment in electromagnetic relays. Electrical contact, which includes the working surface and the current collector surface is made of a composition of silver and graphite with an anisotropic structure, the lamellar particles of which are perpendicular to the working surface of the contact. Graphite content is 60–90 % by weight, the rest is silver. Graphite and silver are pressed with layers, the end surface of which forms the working contact surface, with a layer of silver between each two layers of graphite, and on the side of the current collector, every two layers of graphite with a layer of silver between them are wrapped with a metal mesh. Open ends of the grid are located, indented the working surface of the contact. Silver layer in the contact is made in the form of a mesh or a perforated foil.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the performance characteristics and simplify the manufacturing process.
