SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to iron compositions that can be used, for example, for cooking hotplates. Cast iron contains, wt%: carbon 3.2–3.7; silicon 2.4–3.2; manganese 0.8–1.2; aluminium 0.1–0.2; calcium 0.005–0.01; titanium 0.5–0.7; tin 0.001–0.01; copper 1.0–1.5; boron 0.1–0.2; yttrium 0.05–0.1; vanadium 2.0–2.5; iron – the balance.
EFFECT: increase of the cast iron heat resistance.
