FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to iron compositions that can be used, for example, for cooking hotplates. Cast iron contains, wt. %: carbon 4.2–4.6; silicon 2.4–3.2; manganese 0.8–1.2; aluminium 2.7–3.0; calcium 0.005–0.01; tin 0.001–0.01; cobalt 6.0–6.5; tungsten 0.3–0.4; vanadium 0.4–0.6; rest is iron.
EFFECT: technical result is higher heat resistance of cast iron.
