SUBSTANCE: separator for a vacuum cleaner, comprising a hood, from which the baffles are formed with formation of passage apertures at a distance one after another along the hood circumference. At least some of the partitions are not connected with each other by their ends distant from the hood. The partitions are elastic resilient in the transverse direction with respect to their longitudinal direction. In the installation position under the influence of radial pre-tension the partitions adjoin to the clamping yoke located on the motor shaft of the vacuum cleaner. Due to the centrifugal forces arising during vacuum cleaner operation and due to the high speed of motor shaft rotation, the filter partitions adjoin their free ends to the clamping yoke under the influence of a large force.

EFFECT: filter is securely gripped by the clamping yoke due to the frictional force.
