FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grinding bodies for ball mills. Grinding body, made in the form of a ball, contains shell 1 consisting of two hollow hemispheres 2 and 3 connected together, liquid intermediate layer 4 with core 5 freely movable in it. In this case, core is made in the form of a ball of material with a higher specific gravity than the specific weight of the material of the intermediate layer.
EFFECT: design of grinding bodies with a variable position of the center of gravity increases the efficiency of grinding.
