METHOD OF REMOVING HEAT IN THE PLANTS FOR OBTAINING THE VINYL CHLORIDE MONOMER OR IN THE SET OF PLANTS FOR PRODUCING DICHLOROETHANE / VINYL CHLORIDE AND THE DEVICE THAT IS SUITABLE FOR THIS PURPOSE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C07C17/25 C07C17/383 C07C21/06 C07C19/45

Abstract RU 2645342 C2

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method for the production of vinyl chloride by means of thermal decomposition of 1,2-dichloroethane in the plant for the production of vinyl chloride that is equipped with the 1,2-dichloroethane pyrolysis unit, in which the 1,2-dichloroethane feed is subjected to thermal decomposition, the gaseous decomposition product obtained therein is cooled in the subsequent quench column, and the hydrogen chloride present in the decomposition gas is separated in the subsequent HCl separation column. Moreover, the plant for the production of vinyl chloride is preceded by the apparatus for the preparation of 1,2-dichloroethane, in which purification is carried out by means of distillation of 1,2-dichloroethane, for which at least one high-boiling fraction separating column is provided for separating substances with the boiling point that is higher than the boiling point of 1,2-dichloroethane, which is operated under increased pressure. At least part of the quench column steam is used in order to recover the heat energy that is used in order to heat the HCI separating column, but it is not user heating of the supplied 1,2-dichloroethane for the 1,2-dichloroethane pyrolysis unit. Invention also refers to the device for the production of vinyl chloride by means of thermal decomposition of 1,2-dichloroethane in the plant for the production of vinyl chloride, which comprises the following elements: A) a 1,2-dichloroethane pyrolysis unit, in which the 1,2-dichloroethane feed is subjected to thermal decomposition, B) quench column, which is located after the 1,2-dichloroethane pyrolysis unit and in which the gaseous decomposition product is cooled and the solids are removed, C) HCI separating column, which is located after the quench column and in which separation of the hydrogen chloride present in the decomposition gas is provided, D) at least one heat exchanger, in which the heat energy used to heat the HCl separating column is extracted from at least the portion of the vapor from the quench column, at this the specified heat energy is not intended to be used when heating the supplied 1,2-dichloroethane for the pyrolysis unit of dichloroethane, E) plant for the production and purification of 1,2-dichloroethane, which is located prior to the plant for the production of vinyl chloride, and also in which purification by means of distillation of 1,2-dichloroethane occurs and which F) is equipped with at least one column for separation of high-boiling fractions, wherein separation of substances with the boiling point that is higher than that of 1,2-dichloroethane is ensured, wherein the column for separating the high boiling fractions is configured in order to operate at the pressure greater than the atmospheric pressure.

EFFECT: energy efficiency of the process, reduction of CO2 emissions from the plant.
