SUBSTANCE: self-extinguishing polymer composition comprising: a) a stabilizing polymer composition containing: i. 1 to 100 wt % of at least a copolymer containing at least vinyl aromatic monomer type units as the main unit, as well as monomer units containing at least a vinyl monomer type including epoxy groups, wherein the oxirane oxygen concentration calculated with respect to the whole copolymer (i) is in the range from 158 to 3940 m.f. by weight, ii.0 to 99 wt % of one or more vinyl aromatic polymers compatible with each other, b) 1.0 m.p. to 8.7 m.p. of at least a halogenated flame retardant agent with respect to component (a). Foam balls, compact products, polymer foams, foam products are also described.
EFFECT: composition with increased stability is obtained to ensure effective self-extinguishing.
