SUBSTANCE: application describes a dirt collecting device for a floor cleaner, comprising carrier (22) fixed or fixable to floor cleaner (10), and also detachable holder (26) and suction bar (28) held by the latter, carrier (22) and holder (26) being fixed to each other by means of lock device (52) in a locked position, and dirt collecting device (18) comprises control element (112) transferred from the unactuated position to the actuated position for transferring lock device (52) to the unlocked position, providing the detachment of holder (26) from carrier (22). According to the invention, in order to create an easy-to-operate dirt collecting device, handle (74) is held or formed on holder (26) and/or on suction bar (28), and control element (112) in the unactuated position is located at a greater distance from handle (74) than in the actuated position in which the operator can grip handle (74). In addition, the invention relates to floor cleaners with dirt collecting device (18).
