FIELD: packing industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to covering devices, designed for sealing of a higher pressure chamber, such as a pipe or a pipeline. The covering device comprises a pipe coupling with an inlet hole, which may be connected to the higher pressure chamber, a door for sealing of the inlet hole, on which there is a circular retaining rim made of a set of joined movable blocks and a lock movable block designed to transfer stresses to the surrounding pipe coupling that are developed by pressure acting at the door. Each of the joined movable blocks may rotate within the restricted limits relative to the adjacent blocks. Also on the cover there is a handle to control the retaining rim with a driving connecting link, which is connected with the lock movable block. Actuation of the retaining rim control handle makes the lock movable block move upwards in the vertical direction. Linear displacement of the lock movable block provides for rotation of each joined movable block within the restricted limits, as a result of which the circular retaining rim moves from the open engagement position into the displaced disengagement position with the inner profile of the pipe coupling. The covering device comprises also a locking mechanism, which alarms rising pressure and is a safety device that prevents actuation of the retaining rim control handle in case of high pressure in the chamber.
