SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polyoxalate comprising as main constituent a repeating unit represented by the following formula (1): , where n is a positive number, and is ethylene glycol residue, a propylene glycol residue, butanediol residue, hexanediol residue, octanediol residue or a dodecanediol residue having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) calculated for poly (methyl methacrylate), from 20,000 to 100,000, and the amount of heat of fusion ΔHm not less than 60 J/g as measured by DSC at the first moment of temperature increase and as calculated by the following formula: ΔHm =ΔHm'-ΔHc, where ΔHm' is the amount of heat of fusion (J/g), including the heat of crystallization with increasing temperature, ΔHc is the amount of heat (J/g),
generated by crystallization, and ΔHm is the amount of heat of fusion (J/g), which ensures evaporation of components in amount not greater than 2.0 % by mass with increase in temperature up to 200 °C, as measured by TGA, and having a loss temperature of 5 % of mass (Td5 %) is not greater than 230 °C.
EFFECT: polyoxalate, characterized by the absence of cohesion during grinding, while retaining the ability to undergo hydrolysis.
