SEAWATER DESALTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC E03B3/00 C02F1/14

Abstract RU 2732929 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to autonomous production of clean fresh water. Method consists in saturation of atmospheric air with water vapor in evaporators, supply of steam-air mixture to condensers and moisture extraction. Saturation of atmospheric air with water vapors in evaporators is carried out at pressure below atmospheric pressure for reduction of water boiling point and intensity of evaporation due to concentrated solar energy and tracking systems behind the position of the sun in the firmament. Evisceration in evaporators is created and maintained during operation by vertical columns of fresh water in condensers. Vertical capacitors are arranged under water area with installed check valves for automatic discharge of fresh water into storage tanks communicating with atmospheric air, when hydrostatic pressure of fresh water column in capacitors exceeds atmospheric value. Seawater is fed into an evaporator vessel by evacuating in an evaporator vessel with a black surface, and its circulation in evaporators to prevent salt deposition is forced by means of pumps operating on solar energy. Evaporators are made with a black surface for maximum absorption of energy of solar radiation, evaporators are placed in translucent flasks to prevent loss of heat energy in evaporators, negative pressure in vacuum flasks is created and maintained by hydrostatic pressure of fresh water column in vertical condensers.

EFFECT: obtaining pure fresh water using renewable solar energy and hydrostatic pressure of water column, which enables to obtain clean and fresh water from sea water at low cost.
