FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves synthesis of a sorption composition from mechanically activated schungite, calcined phosphogypsum and a modifying solution in a ratio of 1:1:1. The synthesis is carried out by granulation and modification of the sorption composition in one step. A neutral electrolyte with a zinc content of 31.42 g/l is used as the modifying solution.

EFFECT: simplified synthesis process and increased uranium extraction.
