METHOD FOR DETERMINING COORDINATES OF RADIO SOURCE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01S5/10

Abstract RU 2646595 C1

FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation and may be used to determine the spatial coordinates (SC) of a radio source (RS) source located at a stationary or mobile object. Specified result is achieved due to the fact that on the object a radio signal is synchronously generated and transmitted in the form of two harmonic oscillations with given frequencies ƒi and ƒj. When receiving and processing radio signals, the conditions specified in the method are met. At each n-th station, the radio signal transmitted from the object is synchronously received. Received signals are transmitted via the appropriate communication lines (electrical, optical, etc.) to a single center. It receives each of the analog radio signals received via communication lines and converts it into a corresponding digital signal containing two digital components. For them, the digital components that are quadrature are formed (QDC). On the thus obtained digital signals (DS) for different two n-th DS, a QDC is formed, corresponding to phase differences of oscillations with the same frequencies ƒi and corresponding to phase differences of oscillations with identical frequencies ƒj. With respect to the QDC formed in this way and when the conditions specified in the method are fulfilled, the relative distances to the object from the phase centers of the station antennas are uniquely determined. And the relative distances uniquely determine the spatial coordinates of the phase center of the antenna of the object.

EFFECT: ensuring unambiguous identification of the SC RS without additional information.
