FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention includes driving workings in the excavation area, determining composition of rock in overmined coal bed, measuring the length of the unloading zone of beds in the overmined strata, advancing holes from the sectional drift to the bed bottom, connecting thereof to the gas line and extracting methane. The novelty of the invention is characterized by that prior to and after the caving the main roof rock, sensors of stressed state are set in soil ground, the length of strong rock layer bending in the area of lava and sectional drift junction. The following degassing wells of the section are advanced into the cavity formed under the layer of strong rocks at interval, equal to its extension after next caving of main roof rock.
EFFECT: establishing location of soil stratification cavity, reducing time for active extraction of methane from the cavity, reducing the scope of drilling works in degassed wells, increasing efficiency of methane extraction from overmined coal strata by technological and economic factors.
