SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to transport. Method for manufacturing a brake rotor for a vehicle, in which a protective layer is disposed on the main body of the brake rotor, involves primary machine processing of an area or areas of the main body, which is in the form of a work piece. Then, enamel coating is applied to the main body in a certain area or areas. After that, the post processing of the main body containing the coating in a certain area or area is carried out, herewith the enamel coating is metallurgically bonded to the base material of the main body by means of phase formation. Brake rotor for a vehicle includes a main body, which has a protective layer disposed in a certain area or areas, in which the main body has enamel coating in a certain area or areas.
EFFECT: improved resistance to corrosion and increased service life period is achieved.
