FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises an inductive energy storage unit whose output is connected to the input electrodes of the electroexplosive circuit breaker, a peaking gas-filled discharger and a liquid-filled chopping gap with an adjustable clearance, while the second electrodes of the electroexplosive circuit breaker and the chopping gap are grounded. In a current conductor of the second electrode of the peaking gas-filled discharger, passing through the bushing insulator, there is a frameless separating discharger with toroidal electrodes and an adjustable clearance, whose output electrode coincides with a cathode of a tube diode. The response time of the chopping gap is regulated and is more than the total response time of the peaking, separating dischargers and the tube diode, and the pickup voltage of the separating discharger is regulated and is lower than the pickup voltage of the tube diode.
EFFECT: expanded range of forming output pulse duration of electronic or braking radiation, improved reproducibility of amplitude-time characteristics of the output pulses of accelerator radiation, work resource of the bushing insulator and the cathode of the tube diode.
