AIR CLEANER FOR SHIP POWER PLANES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F02C7/52

Abstract RU 2647171 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly to air purification systems, supplied to the ship's engine for burning fuel, preferably gas turbine, for which the requirements for water and salt content, for example marine, are the most stringent. Air purifying device includes three cleaning stages located in the body in the course of the air to remove moisture and salts from the air, of which the first and third stages are separators consisting of a set of profiled louvres, and the second stage is made in the form of an installed between them with the possibility of removal, filter-coalescer, and pipes of the moisture separated from the air placed in the lower part of the separator housing. Device is equipped with an air humidification system installed after the first cleaning stage before the filter-coalescer, consisting of a number of vertical tubes with perforated walls combined by an upper inlet and a lower outlet manifold, the perforation of the walls of the tubes being made in the upper half of the filter-coalescer along its height and a length of not less than 1/3 of the height of the filter-coalescer, and over the width of the tubes within 80÷120° length of arc, the lower outlet manifold has a drainage pipe equipped with a water drain valve. In addition, perforations are placed on the surface of the tubes in staggered order.

EFFECT: increase the efficiency of the air purifying device and, accordingly, the power plant by ensuring the working state of its elements by removing salt deposits from the ffilter-coalescer during its operation without removing the filter.
