FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building and is intended for automated surface treatment, in particular grinding, of a shaped structural element. Processing is performed using a processing device having a movable portal, a robotics system with a control system and a processing tool of the working head. Processing has the following steps: moving the movable portal in the form of a mobile trolley; feeding the machining tool across the shaped surface of the shaped structural member by means of a feeding robotics driven between the movable trolley and the processing tool; surface processing with a processing tool. At that, by means of the control system, the shifting movement of the movable portal is executed and the motion of the processing tool feeding by means of the feeding robotics in accordance with the profiled structural element shaped surface model, wherein several machining steps of the large structural element surface are performed.
