FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: this invention related to a method for continuous production of acrolein. Method includes the following stages: A) gas-phase oxidation of propene by air over a heterogeneous catalyst in the presence of diluent gas in one reaction stage; B) capture of the acrolein-containing gas stream A) in a quenching stage consisting of bottom, middle and top sections for separating by-products in the presence of water and an organic phase containing substantially water-insoluble organic solvent; C) capture the acrolein-containing gas stream from the quenching stage B) in an absorption stage consisting of bottom, middle and top sections in the presence of water and an organic phase containing substantially water-insoluble organic solvent, to obtain an aqueous acrolein solution contains organic phase and incondensable gas stream; C1) incondensable gas stream from stage C) is at least partially returned as diluent gas to the reaction stage A); D) separation of the acrolein by distillation from the aqueous acrolein solution which contains organic phase from C) in a distillation stage is performed. In this case, the remaining organic phase contained in aqueous solution is taken from the distillation stage D) from which acrolein is separated, resulting in the formation of organic phase II which is separated from the corresponding aqueous phase II (separation of phases II) and which is fed to the bottom of quenching stage B), where the organic phase II together with the aqueous phase is separated by distillation and/or desorption treatment with gas and taken through the top to form the organic phase I, which is separated from the corresponding aqueous phase I (separation of phases I) and fed to the bottom of the absorption stage C).
EFFECT: suggested method allows to enhance the process performance.
