FIELD: technological processes; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: porous graft copolymer particles comprise at least one resin selected from olefin resins, water insoluble modified polyvinyl alcohol based resins, amide resins, cellulosic resins, chitosan resins and (meth) acrylate resins. Resin contains the graft chain introduced therein, including the structural unit, which includes the functional group. Particle size is in the range of 10 mcm to 2000 mcm, the average pore diameter at the particle surface is in the range of 0.01 mcm to 50 mcm, and the grafting rate is in the range of 30 to 900 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the resin.

EFFECT: invention refers to porous particles of the graft copolymer intended to produce the absorbent material, which adsorb metals and other substances, to the method of their production and to the adsorbent, in which they are used.
