FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of converting alternating current into direct current. To this end, the converter comprises a three-phase bridge in which at least one arm includes a first switch and a second switch installed in series, wherein the method comprises a step of adjusting the output DC voltage which is provided by the converter. Method also comprises a transition step preceding the control step, wherein the transition step includes generating signals for controlling the first and second switches, which enable to limit the amplitude of the inrush currents when the converter is connected to an AC network.

EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of conversion due to the limitation of the amplitude of inrush currents.
