FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conversion equipment. Modular multi-level power conversion device with AC output contains modular multi-level converter (21) of direct current to alternating current (DC/AC) with several branches (1.1, 1.2, 1.3) installed in parallel, the ends of which form input pins (27, 28), each branch contains two chains of switching modules (4.11, 4.12, 4.13, 4.14, 4.15, 4.16) installed in series, each switching module has pair of consecutive keys (T111, T211) installed at terminals of device (4.3) of energy storage, wherein the DC/AC converter adjusts the output frequency of the conversion device. It further comprises converter (20) with a DC output, comprising two output terminals (A, 22, 91, 92) connected to input terminals (27, 28) of DC/AC converter (21), moreover, this converter (20) with a DC output regulates the amplitude at the output of the conversion device, and DC/AC converter (21) additionally contains means (29) for managing keys (T111, T211) of modules, which apply full-wave control to the keys for at least one period of time, and the modules of the same chain are simultaneously in the same state.
EFFECT: technical result is the increased efficiency.
