FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for non-destructive testing metal parts for the presence of surface defects by the magnetic particle inspection method, according to which a means containing a magnetic powder is applied onto the part surface, and when the part is magnetized by means of electric coils, the distribution of the magnetic powder on the defects of the part is determined, herewith the first and the second coils arranged at the angle of 90° to each other in the plane of their axes enring the part and cause its magnetization, and wherein the directions of the coils axes pass for each of them at the angle of 45° relative to the longitudinal axis of the part. Herewith the direction of the third coil axis passes perpendicularly to the plane of the axes of the first and the second coils, and the part under tested is moved substantially parallel to the plane of the third coil.
EFFECT: higher defect detection accuracy.
