SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary microbiology. Nutrient medium for the isolation of bacteria Yersinia enterocolitica contains peptone, yeast extract, mannitol, sodium pyruvate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate, sodium deoxycholate, neutral red, crystalline violet, agar-agar, argasan, additionally contains pancreatic meat hydrolyzate with an amine nitrogen content of 0.15 %, "Monaspor", novobiocin sodium salt, asparagine, glycerin and distilled water at a given ratio of components.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to simplify and improve the accuracy of the method for identifying the Y and S forms of Yersinia.
