FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to paper-based sheets having an I-beam structure and to methods for their production. Recording sheet is proposed, in which the paper base comprises a web of cellulose fibers and a composition comprising a sizing agent and a divalent metal salt. Paper base and the sizing agent interact in order to form the I-structure.

EFFECT: invention provides production of a recording sheet having an improved color envelope volume and the density of inkjet printing, and also allows to reduce the total amount of additives introduced without reducing the quality of the sheet.
