FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of cylinders operating at a pressure of up to 250 kgf/cm2 designed for storing and transporting compressed and liquefied gases. A tube blank is made in the form of straight-seam pipe of round section made of sheet rolled stock by butt welding of sheet edges to produce straight-seam welded pipe. The ends of the tube blank are heated at a certain length, and hardening of the bottoms is carried out in temperature range from temperature of hot forging at the beginning of tempering to temperature of low annealing at completion of hardening.

EFFECT: strength the cylinder is increased.
