FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of high-pressure steel cylinders. Pipe seamless billet is produced by hot deformation of forging ingot with weight of 5 t. Billet is subjected to complete annealing with phase recrystallisation with subsequent cooling to the temperature of the beginning of diffusion transformation and holding. Then, billet is machined to produce outer diameter at the end parts exceeding nominal diameter. Then one performs hot sealing of 2 necks in 4-striker pressing device and formation of the throat channel by means of conical insert. One-sided slug is welded in and the cylinder body is subjected to final heat treatment.
EFFECT: obtaining cylinders with high surface quality, accuracy of geometrical dimensions, mechanical strength with breaking stress of more than 1,000 MPa and resistance to brittle destruction.
