SUBSTANCE: control system for an electromotive complex of ice-class vessels and icebreakers contains a control system for the propulsion-steering column and the entire vessel, an electromotive system. Control system of the propulsion-steering column and the entire vessel contains an electromotive control system, a unit for selection of a safe steering strategy for the propulsion-steering column, an interactive vessel movement control unit. Electromotive control system comprises a power control unit for the propulsion motor, a control unit for the azimuth angle of rotation of the propulsion-steering column. Electromotive system contains a frequency converter, a propulsion motor, a propulsion-steering column, a system of complex monitoring for the propulsion-steering column.

EFFECT: ice loads on the propulsion-steering column are reduced and emergency situations are prevented when the ice conditions change.
