SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aeronautical equipment and concerns a landing gear for a vertical take-off aircraft (AC), landing on an unprepared surface or deck of a ship. Adaptive AC landing gear contains two arc-shaped legs or four half-legs, wherein the arc-shaped legs attachment place to the aircraft body is centered with the point of the arc-shaped legs intersection with the vertical axis passing through the aircraft center of gravity, wherein each arc-shaped leg is provided with an actuator connected to the control unit and the gyroscope, and also landing pads equipped with 3D surface scanner. At that, the actuator provides the arc-shaped leg length adjustment in accordance with the information received from the 3D surface scanner of the landing pad even before the moment of landing. Each leg is equipped with a support including a supporting element with a floating attachment to the leg. At that, the material from which the support element is made ensures maximum grip of the support member to the surface.

EFFECT: enabling simplification of the design, reducing weight, maintaining the horizontal position of the aircraft relative to the horizon when landing on an unprepared surface (crossed terrain with a difference in altitude) or the ship's deck.
