SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a display area by liquid crystals. Technical result is achieved by obtaining a gray level value of each pixel of the first content that is displayed on the liquid crystal panel, adjusting the refresh rate of the liquid crystal panel from the first refresh rate to the second refresh rate, if the gray level value of each pixel of the first content is below a predetermined value, obtaining a gray level value of each pixel of the second content displayed on the liquid crystal panel, wherein the second content is displayed after the first content, and adjusting the refresh rate of the liquid crystal panel from the second refresh rate to the first refresh rate, if the pixel value of the second content is not lower than the predetermined value, wherein the second refresh rate is lower than the first refresh rate.
EFFECT: technical result is in reduction in energy consumption when displaying using the liquid crystals.
